Boosting Adventure Education Among Youth Workers was an Erasmus+ training course that brought together youth workers from Finland, France, Italy, Poland and Romania. The project combined adventure education, basic survival skills and design thinking to develop new methods for youth work.
The training was organised in two parts: a summer course at Ankkapurha Youth Centre focusing on outdoor and survival skills, and a winter course at Oivanki Youth Centre focusing on design thinking and game creation. Throughout the project, participants exchanged good practices, strengthened their outdoor education competences and co-created new learning methods.
As a result of the project, participants designed a collection of adventure-based educational games that combine survival skills, teamwork and non-formal learning. These games are freely available for youth workers, teachers and educators to adapt and use in their own activities.
